Does Laser Treat Acne?
Acne is a recurring problem. It can be treated but it can always crop again. Many of the present treatments are considered slow. Laser is therefore being tried to treat acne.
Diode laser has been used to treat acne but the results are not conclusive. Diode laser destroys the sebaceous glands and treats acne by stopping the production of sebum. It is sebum that blocks the pore and fills a pimple. By destroying the sebaceous gland, diode laser removes the root cause of acne.
Pulsed dye laser has not given satisfactory results. Many studies are being conducted but laser has still not become a standard treatment for acne. To find out if laser is an option for you, you should consult your dermatologist.

Acne & Sunshine
|
Despite the belief that acne gets cleared by sunshine, there is no scientific evidence to this. Excess sun can damage your skin rather than treating acne.
