A new vaccine called Gardasil has been approved in the USA for HPV virus. This vaccine is meant for girls. This vaccine protects against the types of HPV that cause cervical cancer and genital warts.
It is advised that the vaccine be given to girls before they become sexually active. The vaccine is given in three shots over six months. Consult your doctor for more details.
