Facts About Nail Fungus
- Nail infection can be caused by both - a fungus or a yeast.
- Keeping nails clean may not prevent the infection, because this infection is contagious.
- Nails commonly get infected by walking barefoot on pool sides, locker rooms and other public places.
- Nail plate may come out because of nail fungal infection.
- Ringworm can infect the nails. If you have ringworm and scratch it with nails, you may infect the nails.
- The infection can be treated with anti-fungal medications.
