Complications If Gonorrhea Is Left Untreated

If gonorrhea is not treated in women, it can progress to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID). Pelvic inflammatory disease can make a woman infertile sometimes. There are other complications of pelvic inflammatory disease. In men, the inflammation of testicles, a painful problem, is seen. Anorectal gonorrhea may affect both the sexes because of anal sex. Eyes may get affected if touched by hand, and throat gets affected with the bacteria with oral contact. If the bacteria spread to other parts of the body through blood, many organs can be affected. So visit the Doctor as early as possible if you notice any symptoms of gonorrhea.
