About The Procedure Of Liposuction

Tumescent liposuction is performed with local anesthesia and does not need hospitalization. In this procedure, your doctor will first take your medical history and then decide the locations from which fat is to be removed. The doctor will then inject a solution of saline, local anesthetic and adrenalin. This solution helps shrink the capillaries and prevent blood loss. After injecting this solution the doctor inserts a cannula and draws the fat in a controlled manner. As the patient is awake, he/she can help the surgeon decide about the contouring being done.

After the procedure, the patient is sent home after dressing. It may take maximum up to a week to recover completely and return to work. This technique has many advantages over the surgical liposuction, which was done earlier. You should consult your doctor for further details and decide.
