Formation Of Varicose Veins
Varicose veins form when the vein walls become weak and the veins become large due to backflow of the blood in the veins (which may be caused by defect in the valves, that prevent the backward flow). The veins get enlarged due to the pressure of blood and protrude out.
Sometimes, abnormality from birth plays a role in the formation of varicose veins. Some vein diseases such as inflammation of the veins can also cause this condition. Anybody can get varicose veins. Women are more prone to them and age plays a role in the formation. Older people easily get these problems. As women are more prone to them, it is thought that female hormones may have some role in formation of these veins. Even after you get all the veins treated, new can form.
