Post Inflammatory Hyper-Pigmentation

PIH - post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation is seen after acne resolves. Most of the times, those who had acne or minor injuries, do not develop a visible scar but the skin on the healed area gets darkened. This is hyper-pigmentation. People with dark-colored skin develop spots in dark brown or black color while pale-skinned people develop red, purple or pink colored spots. The color resolves over time. Sometimes it may take about a year for the color to resolve. If you don't want to wait for long, use a skin bleach to bleach the dark color.
