If your hands are wet most of the times, or if you have eczema around the nail, you can get bacterial infection of the nails. This can also be caused because of chronic candida infection of the nails. The bacterial infection affects the skin folds around the nail and you can see inflammation and pus in the infection. It is a painful infection and you may need oral antibiotics to treat this condition.
