Collagen Procedure

Your face will be cleaned thoroughly, wiped dry and the site of injection will be treated with a local antiseptic. Collagen mixed with saline and a local anesthetic will be injected in small quantity below the skin and your doctor may massage the area to distribute the collagen. You may feel some swelling or tenderness for few days.

Precautions To Be Taken After:
Avoid any alcohol and heavy exercising. Stay away from sun for some time. Use a suitable sunscreen to protect yourself from sun.

Repetition Of Procedure:
Collagen is a protein. With time, it breaks down and gets absorbed by the body. The effect of an injection may last for up to six months. The time depends on individuals and the site of implant. If the implant is done in a less used area, the effect will remain for a longer time. If you get collagen implant done for smile lines, the effect will wear off sooner because you will be regularly using those muscles. You will have to get the process repeated after some months depending upon the status at that time.
