Vaginitis or infection of vagina can be caused by the common yeast (candida), some bacteria or a parasite known as trichomoniasis. In this section, we will mainly discuss about the yeast infection. Candida, which causes skin infections in mouth, on body folds, in nails, also causes infection of the vagina. The candida yeast causes vaginitis commonly in most of the women.
