  • Exposure to UV rays of the sun. Greater the intensity of exposure, greater the chances of developing Melanoma.
  • Family history of melanoma.
  • Presence of atypical moles.
  • Suppressed immunity due to an organ transplant, leukemia, or lymphoma.
