Tazarotene is a retinoid and it is used to treat acne. It is also used to treat psoriasis.
Tazarotene is a very effective medication for acne, especially blackheads and mildly inflamed acne. Tazarotene is used topically and tazarotene also reduces fine wrinkles on the face. Tazarotene helps the skin renew itself faster and helps in reducing sun damage of the skin.
Side Effects of Tazarotene
Being a retinoid, Tazarotene may cause redness, drying of skin, stinging, etc. If the symptoms persist, stop using it and consult your doctor.
Precautions with Tazarotene-

Use sunscreen because Tazarotene makes the skin sensitive to the sun. Avoid using other products that dry the skin. Products that contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Sulphur, Salicylic Acid, Resorcinol, or Alcohol have to be avoided.
