Kojic Acid
Kojic acid is a bleaching agent that can be used to treat hyper-pigmentation and spots. It is one of the ingredients of Japanese food. It is produced by a fungus and inhibits the production of melanin, thereby reducing color. Care should be taken while using kojic acid as it may cause dermatitis (irritant contact dermatitis). Use it only with the permission of your doctor. Stop using the product if you see any reaction and consult your doctor.
