Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is caused by bacteria that are spread by deer ticks. If you go around in grassy or woody areas, the ticks that thrive on blood, attach themselves to your body and suck blood. The ticks transmit bacteria within two days of attaching themselves to the body. The ticks are very small and therefore difficult to locate on the body.
Lyme disease begins with a red circular patch that resembles bulls eye. If you don't get treated early, lyme disease may cause many complications. You can prevent yourself from getting lyme disease by protecting yourself when you visit any suspect endemic outdoors. Your backyard can also pass on the ticks to you if it is not clear of grass.
