Over use of salicylic acid can harm you. If you have any problems such as diabetes, blood vessel diseases, influenza, chicken pox, any kidney or liver problem, you should talk to your doctor about the same before using salicylic acid preparations. Salicylic acid should not be used on irritated, bruised or infected skin, unless advised. Also inform your doctor if you are allergic to any color, ingredient, etc.

Don't use any of the following while using salicylic acid.

  • Any other topical preparation without doctor's advice.
  • Any alcohol containing preparation.

If you are pregnant, plan to get pregnant or are breast-feeding, talk to your doctor. Use any preparation on young children only after seeking proper medical advice.
